Description

Swedish M42 "Ljungman" rifle. These are very cool early semi-auto rifles made by Sweden during the Second World War. Chambered for the light-shooting 6.5 Swedish cartridge, these neat rifles are, by virtue of an integral muzzle brake and direct-impingement gas system, flat shooting guns low on recoil and high on cool. Comes with one 10 round magazine. This rifle has been refitted to M/42B standard and has the improved rear sight and stainless steel gas tube. This rifle has a very late "29xxx" serial number and is likely one of the final Ljungmans produced. Condition is very good, with excellent finish on the metal parts except for a small patch of patina on the front sight post. All mechanical functions work as they should with an appropriately vigorous bolt operation. Wood is overall quite nice, with some small dings from service and a little scraping at the top of the buttstock near the buttplate but no cracks, major dings, or gouges. All serials match.
